Is Fabletics Worth the Hype
Before we get into it, I would like to point out that I have no affiliation with Fabletics and this is simply a honest review of the product that I’ve purchased enough of to receive Elite status.
Let’s talk pros.
Fablectics knocks it out of the park when it comes to looking cute. They have so many adorable matching options that it’s difficult to not purchase everything that comes out.
When the right size is purchased, there does seem to be a considerable amount of support across their product line, especially with the power hold feature.
Sales happen frequently so it’s easy to stock up on cute pieces regularly.
Comfortable and cute lounge wear. I always snag one of their eco sweat sets when they go on sale.
Let’s talk cons.
Membership based, and the price is relatively high. They do allow you to skip the month but if you forget and maybe don’t have the funds your pretty much out of luck, because that charge is going to hit your bank account.
When it comes to their sports bra options, I don’t find that they have many options supportive of large breasts. Either the coverage is too small or the band is too loose. I don’t hold this against the brand too much because a lot of athletic wear tends to cater to smaller chested women.
Remember that power hold feature? While a pro, I also consider it a con. As someone who carries weight in my lower stomach they can become very uncomfortable throughout my workout. Sometimes, I even feel like my circulation is being cut off. Yes, I could go to a larger size but then it feels way too loose.
Depending on the style I feel like a lot of the pieces run too small or too big, and very few run “true to size”. I have items that range from XS-XL and they all fit. When purchasing always double check the material before the size chart to help you decide what will fit best.
Over all do I think Fabletics is worth the hype?
Honest answer -I think it is worth trying. Personally I tend to wait for the sales and usually choose athleisure and loungewear over workout clothes. However, I do know that the brand is a favorite of many and I have several pieces I adore!
If my cons list is something you related to then try out some of the following brands. Danskin, Zella, and 90 Degrees. My personal favorite is 90 degrees, its supportive but not too tight for my body type. Additionally the quality holds up amazing after many washes. I actually have yet to get rid of any of my 90 degree pieces.
These brands can all be found at places like TJMAXX, Marshals, and Nordstrom Rack. The pieces are usually under $30.00 and sometimes as low as $5.00, with the average price point being $12.99.
Is Fabletics your go to or do you prefer another brand?
